Meeting Information

Annual Pest & Disease Symposium

Date & Time:

Tuesday, December 10th, 2013  7:30 am - 3:30 pm

This annual meeting is geared toward honing the arborist's prevention and detection skills, including an introduction of new strategies in PHC, recognizing damage symptoms and abiotic disorders, and IPM strategies to control them. Managing pests and disease is not an easy task. While some disorders that affect trees have characteristic symptoms that make a positive diagnosis possible, others are not so clear. Learn how to tell the difference, and how tree selection and new trends in control practices can support a healthier urban forest. There will be time for networking and a chance to observe displays of damage symptoms.
