An Overview of Tree Valuation and Tree Risk Assessment

Join us for a full-day, hands-on workshop with renowned arborist James R. Clark as we explore the core concepts and practical realities of tree appraisal and risk assessment. If you would like to obtain a basic understanding of the trunk formula technique and the TRAQ risk rating process, this workshop is for you. The program will provide both classroom instruction and field practice, taking you through the steps needed to produce an opinion of value and a risk assessment. Designed for arborists, consultants, and tree care professionals who are curious about these topics but not TPAQ or TRAQ qualified, this session will equip you with the knowledge to understand and make informed decisions about tree value and safety in a variety of real-world contexts.

3:00pm Tree appraisal variations: partial damage, restoration costs, inventories, comparison to property value. Questions.
3:30pm Tree risk assessment variations: action thresholds, response times, residential properties. Questions.
