Bio:
Shannon C. Lynch, Ph.D. is a researcher at the University of California, Davis, specializing in forest pathology and invasive tree pests. Dr. Lynch earned her B.A. in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley in 2001, followed by a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies—with an emphasis on Ecology and Evolutionary Biology—from UC Santa Cruz in 2020. Her work focuses on the ecology and management of fungal pathogens associated with invasive beetles, including emerging shothole borer species impacting California’s urban and natural forests.
