Bios
Rhonda Wood is a seasoned arborist who dedicated over 25 years to caring for trees at Disneyland Resort before retiring. Her passion for arboriculture led her to establish (along with her husband, Humberto Mojica) Woodworks Tree Preservation Inc, a traveling consulting arborist company. Both actively volunteer in the industry, with Rhonda on the ANSI A300 Committee and Humberto on the WCISA Arboleros Committee. Committed to giving back, Rhonda is a past president of the Western Chapter ISA and just started her role as the ISA Council Representative for the Chapter.  Her work continues to inspire others and shape the future of arboriculture.

Peter Gerstenberger is the Senior Advisor for Safety, Standards, and Compliance at the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA).  He has a BS in Biology from Grinnell College and an MS in Plant Pathology from Iowa State University.   With over 30 years of experience in the tree care industry, Peter is a leading expert in safety practices and standards for arborists and tree care professionals. He is dedicated to promoting safe work practices and advocating for the highest quality of care for trees and the environment. Peter's expertise and leadership have been instrumental in advancing the tree care industry and ensuring the safety of workers and the public.

Dr. A.D. Ali has over 40 years of experience in the Green Industry. For the past 25 years he oversaw Davey technical support programs in the US and Canada. Currently, he is a founding team member of Davey Global Consulting. He is a Board-Certified Master Arborist, TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) qualified and served on the Board of Directors and on the Education Committee, Florida Chapter ISA as well as being Past President of the Chapter.   Dr. Ali has written a book on Pest Management in the Landscape.  In addition, he has presented 130 scientific and training seminars and authored more than 300 scientific and trade-oriented articles. 

Erick Palacios is a highly skilled arborist with a passion for trees and the environment. With over 10 years of experience in the field, Erick has developed a deep understanding of tree care and maintenance. He is known for his expertise in tree pruning, removal, and preservation techniques, as well as his commitment to sustainable practices. Erick is dedicated to promoting the health and longevity of trees in urban and natural environments, and is a trusted resource for homeowners, businesses, and local communities seeking professional arboricultural services.  He holds multiple credentials including Certified Arborist, TRAQ and Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.  

Pedro Arechiga has been caring for and preserving large trees with TreeCareLA for over 10 years. He’s an ISA Certified Arborist and Qualified Tree Risk Assessor. He remembers the first cable he ever installed was in a grove of Aleppo pines in Encino using EHS steel cable back in 2014.

Julian Urbina is an experienced climber and ISA Certified Arborist with a passion for saving trees through unconventional methods. He has worked at TreeCareLA for the past 5 years, installing dynamic and steel cable systems and - his favorite - tree support props!
