WIA Women's Climbing Experience
This climbing workshop is designed for women who have never climbed trees before with ropes and harnesses --- and also for those who have prior experience and want to improve their ability.
Come learn a new skill or improve your foundation in a safe and positive environment.
This is NOT a competition prep class.
We will NOT be focused on competitive events.
Learn climbing techniques, and systems and gain a perspective on where our profession has been and where we are going. Instructors will address varying skill levels, and provide an opportunity for all attendees to progress to the next step.
The morning will focus on safety, inspections and benefits of innovation. Later in the day attendees will work at multiple climbing stations with different climbing techniques and tasks.

Demonstration of All Three Workstations / Trees
- There will be 3 trees set with different techniques and methods of entry.

- Station 1: Ddrt work positioning- Practice multiple techniques and configurations of Ddrt to ascend and descend completing workstations throughout tree.
- Station 2: SRT ascent into Ddrt work positioning .
- Station 3: SRT Work positioning.
